FUNCTIONS
A secure barrier system is a maritime water and surface protection system. At its core is a strong physical barrier that incorporates sophisticated alarm and surveillance technology to protect against hostile intrusions. The most important element of the system is the worried net, which is made of plastic coated, high tensile strength, steel wire.
The net is attached to the bottom with heavy weights or a ballast pipe and is held up to the water surface by float units, which also serve as surface protection. The system can be configured for almost any application and can be made as a fixed installation, a retractable configuration, as a mobile system or some combination thereof.
POSSIBILITY
A secure barrier system is capable of physically preventing attempted intrusion by divers, small boats, or underwater craft into the protected area. If an attempt to cut or otherwise damage the network is made, an alarm will be immediately triggered in the command center.
The network can be supplemented with several sensors, to the extent required, to contribute to monitoring and detection. All sensors and the management system are high quality COTS equipment to simplify the system and reduce costs.
